Liverpool wing-back Alberto Moreno is set for a surprise move to Real Madrid, according to reports.
Los Blancos saw Fabio Coentrao join Monaco on loan last week.
Moreno meanwhile doesn’t appear to be a part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans at Anfield, having made three league appearances for the Reds this term, all of which have been as a substitute.
But according to Spanish paper AS, Moreno is on Real’s radar.
Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb claim that Los Blancos have targeted the Reds wide-man as a replacement for Fabio Coentrao, who joined Monaco on a season-long loan.0
Moreno only joined Liverpool last summer, but could be heading for the Anfield exit along with Rickie Lambert, Mario Balotelli and Lazar Markovic who have all sealed moves away after just a year at the club.
The Spaniard has found himself down the pecking order this season, with summer signing Joe Gomez starting at left-back in all four of Liverpool’s Premier League outings.
The Reds have taken seven points from a possible 12 so far this season, slipping up at home to West Ham on Saturday as Slaven Bilic’s men claimed a memorable 3-0 win at Anfield.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, lead by former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, claimed their first win of the season in La Liga, beating Real Betis 5-0 at the Bernabeu on Saturday.
